I'm a glutton for punishment, or so it would seem. Colouring this beast is already proving to be a bit of a job, but here I'll outline my plan for it:

1) Traditional colouring. I'm actually working on this as I type. I'm using some new colouring pencils to try and make this look as good as possible on paper. It probably won't scan in very well as my scanner is notoriously bad at picking up colours so, eh, here's hoping it looks good enough to submit when it's done.

2) Digital colouring. Now, I'm not going to confirm that I'll upload a digitally coloured version of this. I'm merely using it as practice for several different styles. If I nail one and enjoy using it, then there's no reason I won't do a fully realized piece. So, for now, this is practice. I will grasp the pen tool.

This can be considered part of my 20th Anniversary celebrations - I decided to recreate my favourite scene from the original series. Robotnik racing off in a last ditch attempt to keep the Master Emerald, while Sonic watches on knowing he's going to have to harness the energies of the mystical emeralds to do anything about it.

Though yes, needless to say, colouring Earth and space is going to be an absolute nightmare.
